Alison Neal
Ali is the founder and director of Midlands OT and works as the lead therapist. Ali qualified as an Occupational Therapist over 20 years ago from the University of Derby. In her early career she spent a period of time in a variety of settings both in the community, in physical and mental health hospitals, and in housing to gain a broad base of experience.  Ali then chose to specialize Pediatrics for the NHS and was based in a Children’s Centre where she  worked children from 0-18 with a range of developmental difficulties including autism. In 2010 Alison made the decision to leave the NHS and set up her own practice, largely in order to develop further specialized skills in sensory integration and fulfill a need that seemed to be very much in demand. Ali prides herself on offering assessment and therapy input in an individualised way in order to meet each families specific needs. She provides occupational therapy and sensory integration therapy to individual families, and also to several schools on a consultancy basis. Ali delivers training both for specific children and on more generic topics including sensory processing.
